Tank Container: Type of container
of a cylindrical shape, placed inside a frame with the form and
dimensions identical to that of a normal container, used for the
transport of liquid loads (flammable or not), existing in the
measures of 20 and 40 feet.
Terminal: Final point of shipment
and landing of loads and passengers. The term may include the
port/airport in itself or a patio, warehouse or silo located inside
that area.
TEU (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Unit):
Term used for a 20-feet container, through which it is measured
the capacity of a ship's door containers in equivalent units.
THC (Terminal Handling Charge):
Foremanship.
To Order: Document or title issued
to order.
TPS - Transportation Planning and Scheduling:
Planning and scheduling of the transport, specific on how and
where to transport the commodities. This system may offer restrictions
on weight/volume, consolidation of loads in transit, continuous
movement, transport modal and functionality for LTL loadings (Less
than truck load: partial load) and FTL (Full truck load: closed
load).
Trading Company: In Brazil it refers
to a company (mainly a large-size public limited company) that
operates exclusively in international trade, exporting/importing
commodities or services on its own or for third parties.
Transit Time: Time that the ship
takes to complete a certain course or travel.
Truck: Load road vehicle.
