U
UCC - Uniform Code Council: It is
the system of North American and Canadian coding to identify of
products, places and barcodes. The entity that manages the system
is called UCC. There is also EAN or European Article Number, the
European coding system.
UDB: Universal Data Base.
Unitization: The process used to
facilitate the handling and transport of load in general, through
which the volumes are packaged or fixed to unitization devices,
for ex. pallet, or when they are so joined in a container.
UPC(1): Standard Unit of loading.
UPC(2): Universal Product Code.
UPS e-Logistics: It offers global
logistic outsourcing, including servicing centers or counter,
SCM, storage, distribution and processing of returned goods.
